Invitations

A great way to set the tone for your bridesmaids luncheon is with the invitations. They play an important part in setting the tone for your party, as they are the first glimpse your guests get of the celebration to come. Typically, invitations are styled to match the party’s theme, whether it’s a chic garden party or a relaxed coastal gathering, the design, colors, and wording of your invitations provide hints about the event’s vibe. For a more formal party, you may style your invitations with elegant calligraphy and luxe materials. While, playful fonts, floral decorations and vibrant colors hint at a fun, casual gathering. If you are planning a garden party theme like we did, your invitations can be light and floral. If your theme is more coastal, consider coastal colors and patterns.By thoughtfully designing your invitations, you create anticipation and excitement, giving guests a sneak peek into what’s to come. Whatever your theme, there are plenty of invitation options out there for you.

Bridesmaids Luncheon Decor Ideas

A few items to consider when decorating for your bridesmaids’ luncheon. Our decor was very much themed for a garden but the tips here can be adapted to any decor vibe. Consider a mix of seating options, including chairs, benches, and floor cushions, to foster a laid-back, cozy atmosphere. Choose a theme that resonates with your style—be it rustic, boho, or elegant—and incorporate decor items that enhance this aesthetic. Natural elements like wood, stone, and bamboo can add an organic touch to your setting. For a bridesmaids luncheon, add personalized touches such as photo frames with pictures of the bride and her bridesmaids to evoke fun memories.

Furniture

When it comes to decorating a summer garden for a bridesmaids luncheon, creating a welcoming and comfortable seating arrangement is a fun touch. After all, how often do you get to sit in comfortable upholstered furniture…in the garden? Start with comfortable outdoor furniture adorned with cozy cushions that invite guests to sit and relax. We selected 2 sofas and chairs with a table as our seating area.  Since our theme was somewhat coastal Summer garden, we used sofas and chairs with neutral cushions.  But, if you are planning on a more vibrant theme, add in some colorful pillows and cushions to your seating area.

Tablescapes and Table Decorations for a Bridesmaids Luncheon

When setting the table for a bridal luncheon, think about the vibe you are going for.  We were using a coastal theme but also wanted to tie in the garden theme as well.  So, we set a neutral wood farm table and chairs and added floral napkins, colorful plates and a crisp white table runner along with clear glass drinkware and silver flatware.

For more color, consider vibrant table runners, napkins and flatware. For glassware, there are many fun options available and you can add elegant or quirky glasses.  Fun champagne or coup glasses are always a great look.

Centerpieces and Flowers

When selecting your flowers, fresh flower arrangements are beautiful for a summer garden party.  We love seasonal flowers for a fresh look.  Some flower ideas are: wildflowers, roses, daisies, peonies, sunflowers and hydrangeas.  Add in candles, greenery and floral colors to match your theme.  And consider different types of arrangements to make the centerpieces unique.  Bud vases are always a nice option in the garden. We included bud vases on along the center of the table with blue hydrangeas and greenery. A great mix of coastal and garden.

Place Cards and Menus

It is always a nice touch to add personalized place cards for guests. And it’s fun to add menu cards with details of the food and drinks you are serving.  If it’s a smaller party, I feel like you can skip this step if you would like.

Special Touches for Bridesmaids Luncheon

When planning your Bridesmaids’ Luncheon it’s a nice touch to have some special items to present to your bridal party.  Consider gift boxes or bags at each place setting with small tokens of appreciation.  This is a great time to thank them and celebrate your friendships.
